Hey Everyone!!! I am getting my first horse very soon and I think this will be my blog about my life with him/her!  

First off, I have been riding for three years now and counting.  I have done both English and Western and I really don't have a favorite one.  I love hunter/jumper but I also love Barrel Racing too.  I just can't decide which one to pursue!  If you have a favorite, tell me that!  With this being my fist own horse, I really need breed ideas also.  I know what a good horse looks like because I do horse judging in FFA.  If you or anyone you know ever has any horses for sale around Kansas City or the area, let me know!  I am very headstrong and really thin but really tall (5'10 and 124 lbs), I do sports so I have athletic legs and an athletic core but nothing else really.  I am NOT afraid of big horses or socially aquward horses either.

Okay, so now that you know where I stand on what I'm like and how I look, what horse is best for me? I would really enjoy a TB, Palomino, Paint, or QH.  QH is last on my list though.  I will be pasting a few links on the bottom of this entry for you too look at.  I also need to decide on one style to start with.  I am leaning towards English but feel free to argue western.  Any other horse tips will be appreciated.
